Cottonwood's 3rd Graders opened the doors on their Living Museum. Each scholar researched a historical person and created a backdrop of information and posed waiting for museum guests to press their buttons to come to life and share key facts about their lives. Cottonwood's 2nd Graders hosted their 2nd Annual Class Market. Students worked together to determine the product or products they wanted to sell. Next, they had to determine a price point to maximize their profits and create appealing marketing to draw customers in. Everyone did an awesome job and staff and other students enjoyed shopping until their Cougar Cash ran out. Until next year! #TheHUSDWay #CottonwoodCougars

Cottonwood's Middle School Summer Jam for those students who are currently in grades 5-7th, will start on Friday, June 8th. Classes start at 7:30 a.m. The instructional day runs from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. with ELOP Fun taking place after lunch. See the attached flyer for registration information. Summer Jam ends on June 30th, with a school holiday on June 19th. A field trip to Knott's Berry Farm is schduled for June 26th for those students who meet the attendance requirements. Here is a quick look at the week ahead. School is closed on Monday in observance of Memorial Day. On Tuesday, Cottonwood will be hosting Grad Walk at 1:30 p.m. This is a wonderful way to celebrate our former Cougars who will graduating this year. On Wednesday, our 3rd Grade Scholars are hosting a Living Museum between 9:30-10:30 a.m. in Room 5 and our 2nd Grade Scholars are hosting a Classroom Market between 10:40-11:15 a.m. in Room 9. On Thursday, our TK, K and 4th Grade Scholars will be traveling to the Penny Pickles Museum in Temecula for the day. On Friday, our 5th-8th Grade Students will be going to Castle Park for their End of the Year Reward Trip and our TK-4th Graders will stay on campus and enjoy field day hosted by our PTO. May is Mental Health Month and Cottonwood was fortunate to host meditation workshops in the Counseling Center led by Miss Bohdi who challenged our Cougars to control their breathing giving them the super power of the pause to collect their thoughts and make strategic decisions rather than impulsive reactions when they are in stressful situations.
